This story is told through prose and poetry and acts as a conclusion to the journey started in “Cliffhanger” and “Swimming in Chaos”. This book picks up in 2024 as I was adventuring through London, heading towards burnout. I started losing the sight of myself and the things that once mattered to me. Started to blend in with the lifestyle I once ran away from, I refused to settle for the corporate graveyard.
Which leads to me embarking on the one way flight to the unknown. Venturing through India to challenge my way of thinking, unlearn the bad habits that got me here, remind myself who I was before chasing the London dream, before feeling the shackles of corporate attached to me. It was time to start with a clean slate, in a place that was completely foreign to me in hopes to find the way back to myself.
Romancing local guys for a few days, appreciated fleeting flings for what they were. Letting go of friendship that no longer served me, adjusting my point of view to what I wanted my life to look like. No longer craving to be on stages, but yearning to have my words highlighted on a page. Hoping that you would find piece through the turmoil of my journey.
Coming back is part of the journey,
So yes, I came back. But at what cost…?
